Sriboga Flour Mill Conducts Business Sharing with FTP UB, with MSMEs in Malang Raya

02 December 2023

A total of 200 MSMEs in Malang Raya participated in a business sharing held by PT Sriboga Flour Mill, a wheat flour producer, Thursday (30/11/2023). This activity collaborates with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Brawijaya University (FTP UB). MSMEs take part in seminar activities and are followed by a baking demo by Chef Denny Panca. As well as there is an MoU between Sriboga and FTP UB.

"Today's activity is MSME business sharing to continue the previous program. The difference is in the material displayed. So that MSMEs can get more knowledge," said Maria Wuri Handayani, Marketing Manager of PT Sriboga Flour Mill during the event. Because now the phenomenon is competition in the world of bread, so the material presented is how to provide information on the length of the shelf life of bread.

It is said that this continuous program with FTP UB is to help MSMEs continue their business and be able to compete. While the baking demo material is two products. "The purpose of the baking demo is to inspire them in making recipes," said Chef Denny. In addition to demos, he provides education to MSMEs such as making recipes, the function of ingredients and can tinker with recipes so that they can create new products.
He also shared a viral concept in Bandung related to a new marketing style. Where the maker/owner only releases two or three product variants. Two weeks later it is gone and replaced by another product. So that consumers do not get bored with the same product because it is in demand.

Denny said, from his research, the customer also has a sense of boredom if given a product item that continues to sell. So there must be innovation in the new product.

Meanwhile, Beny Dwi Fajar, Regional Business Manager of Sriboga East Java, added that bringing MSMEs to campus also broadens their horizons. "MSMEs are also thirsty for knowledge. We try to consistently direct and assist MSMEs to move forward together," Beny replied. So that the concept is not only selling out but providing assistance.

According to him, UKMN in Indonesia has decades of experience but the knowledge side needs to be given input. Both in terms of making or selling. Because every year it experiences different trend changes. "Apart from this activity, we also enter into in-house demos and get input from MSMEs," he replied.
